Why am I breaking out? I still ask myself even after studying aesthetics and being in this field for almost two years.
I don’t break out as easily as I use to, but when I do it’s either because:
- I skipped my skin care routine.
- I didn’t watch what I ate.
It doesn’t seem real how little things can create an immense impact on your skin, but they do.
I wish everyone had perfect skin, life would be so much easier.
Well at least a lesser cause to all of this problems.
But as always, the truth hurts!
As an aesthetician, following skin care by the book sometimes can be tedious.
Even if followed, once in a while I break out.
We are only human and at some point we don’t take care of our skin as much as we should or like to.
We stress out, pick or forget to wash our face and it seems like all the hard work we put into, vanished.
And I understand it can be frustrating.
But consistency is the key, you can drastically change the appearance of your skin if you are!
Do you ever feel hopeless?
Like no matter how hard you work or how much effort you put into something, you just seem stuck?
Well, stop feeling stuck because there are good news.
There are tips and tricks you can take into consideration to stop breaking out!
And yes I still feel like that at times, because I do put a lot of effort on my skin.
Constancy is the key, don’t expect results if you don’t put the work.
Define What’s Your Skin Concern
First and foremost, you have to define what’s you skin concern, what are your main skin issues? Are you breaking out on you cheek area? Perhaps your chin?
So be clear as to where you are mostly breaking out, this gives you a hints as to why you are breaking out.
For instance, I breakout A LOT on my chin area.
And I didn’t really know why, after doing some research I became aware that it is a hormone related issue.
Get Beautiful Skin
The truth is, I believe we all have beautiful skin, although, sometimes it might not seem like it.
Taking care of your skin should become a habit, I do admit that sometimes I forget to but don’t be disappointed because there are things you can do to stop breaking out.
Stop Breaking Out
This is specifically for peopl with oily skin.
The best tips and tricks that have helped me stop brealking out are:
- Create a skin care routine targeted for your skin and make it a habit.
A lot of people don’t realized that the primary reason as to why they break out, is that they don’t wash their skin properly.
For us who have oily skin, washing our skin is as important as taking a shower, to see progress you should be consistent, meaning is an everyday thing.
The same way losing weight doesn’t happen overnight, neither does clear skin…
…you should at least use a gel based cleanser along with toner to balance your skins pH (day and night) and top it off with some sunscreen (through the day).
- Keep your hands off and don’t pick your face.
You have probably heard this one a million times, but I assure you that picking your face will only make it worse.
You’re hands, are constantly exposed to hundreds of bacteria, when your touch your face your transmit those bacterias and create a “bed” for them. As a result, your skin is more prone to break outs.
Besides, picking your skin will damage it causing acne scars and possible blemishes…
…and let me tell you a little secret, one of the hardest skin issues to get rid off are blemishes.
That little pimple, that you’re so desperate to pop, will eventually go away.
From time to time, I occasionally get a HUGE pimple and to speed up the process, I use the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch which helps get rid of it by eliminating infection and bacteria.
- The skin’s condition reflects what’s going on internally.
This means that perhaps you are breaking out, because there’s something else going on in your body and your skin is reflecting it.
So be sure, you’re health is all right and have all you medical exams up to date.
- Be sure to read the ingredients label of the skin care product you’re planning to buy.
There are many skin care products out there, that congest and age your skin, and that’s why it’s important to read the ingredients label.
So that you’re able to identify the helpful ingredients from the harmful ones.
IMPORTANT: Be sure you’re not allergic, to the ingredients a product is made of, because being allergic could potentially be worsening the state of your skin and cause major health problems. (This also applies with food).
Although it seems like that don’t matter, they do and they do make a BIG difference.
