The Tonymoly Lip Mask is a product I have been meaning to try for a while now.
Every single one of us are physically different, from our hair to our noses to our lips.
Some of us have big lips and some have small ones, I fall into the small lips category and when I was younger it was a concern of mine.
I wanted fuller, round and plump lips but both sides of my family aren’t blessed with big lips so because of genetics, I was bound to have small lips.
In my attempt to try and make my lips naturally fuller, I tried natural at home recipes, lipsticks, lip glosses and lip masks.
I had searched every corner of the internet, among all the reading I had done I remembered that keeping lips moisturized gives the appearance of big and plumped lips.
And websites recommended lip masks , so I knew I had to try it.
Do Lip Masks Work?
I am someone that, despite drinking a lot of water, has very dry skin all through my body.
My lips are also very dry, not to the point were they crack and bleed but they are dry.
In the past, I have tried lip masks but because the quality was really cheap I couldn’t based my opinion on those masks alone.
I recently went on a trip and bought the Tonymoly Lip Mask, so I really want to try it out and give you my opinion.
The Tonymoly Lip Mask
Tonymoly is a very popular cosmetic brand from South Korea, the name means “putting style into packaging” which it’s fitting because all of their packaging is cute and creative.
And what actually drew me to buy this lip mask was the cute pink color of the packaging.
The Tonymoly Lip Mask is a thin jelly lip patch, it’s surrounded with liquid so it’s stays moist and comes in a plastic mould which you gently open.
The package being very small is travel-friendly and great for those who are constantly traveling.
The mask has a very subtle berries fragrance and because it’s made of jelly is super gentle on the skin.
After using it, I immediately felt my lips hydrated, soft and smooth.
In addition to this, the Tonymoly Lip Mask is great as a pre-lipstick or pre-lipgloss treatment.
I did find myself constantly fixing the lip mask because it kept on slipping from my lips.
Also, the results are temporary so if you’re looking for extreme hydration, moisture and softness a lip mask might not be the best choice.
How I Use The Tonymoly Lip Mask?
I exfoliate my lips first to remove the dead skin.
However, when you over exfoliate your lips, you are getting rid of the bad and the good skin.
As a result, you can end up with even more dry and chapped lips.
I apply the mask on my lips and wait about 15 to 20 minutes.
Lastly, I remove the lip mask and massage the remaining product on my lips so that it soaks up the remaining product.
When it comes to my lips, mine are very dry so I need a much stronger product so that my lips actually stay hydrated and moisturized.
The Tonymoly Lip Mask results are temporarily.
Chapsticks work well by doing a much better job and having long lasting results.
Overall, this lip mask was definitely so fun and if you want to try it, you should!
